Roselle

Portada.jpg

Roselle was a Labrador retriever guide dog who became a hero on September 11, 2001. That day, she and her owner, Michael Hingson, were working on the 78th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York when the hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the building.

After the impact, Roselle guided Hingson and other coworkers through smoke and chaos. With her calm demeanor and guide dog training, Roselle remained steady and brave, leading Hingson and others to safety.

After the attacks, Roselle continued working as a guide dog and as an ambassador for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, raising awareness about the importance of guide dogs and proper training.

Roselle’s legacy lives on, reminding us of the courage and importance of animals in our lives, and how they can lead us to safety and hope even in the darkest times.
