Robot the explorer

Robot3.jpg

On September 12, 1940, in southwestern France, Robot led his human, 18-year-old Marcel Ravidat, and a group of friends to one of the greatest discoveries of the century: the Lascaux Cave. This cave network contains around 600 prehistoric paintings dating back over 17,000 years.

Nearly half of the paintings and engravings depict animals like horses, deer, bulls, and bison. Experts compare Lascaux, along with the Altamira Cave, to the Sistine Chapel of prehistoric art.

Lascaux was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.

Robot, born in 1930, loved to explore and dig holes in the ground. Do you know any dogs that do the same? Maybe your dog will lead you to a discovery!
